Klampt inverse kinematics helpers (library source)

Klampt package module defining IK objectives, native solver wrappers, residual/Jacobian access, and local, random-restart and nearby solving for caller-provided robot models. This is library source, not a standalone executable or completed robot task.

Access

Read the pinned library source and upstream setup. This maintainer-reviewed reference does not install or execute code.

For one verified inert file, use the installed CLI's inspect response fetch_source_args and append --project DIR --json. Source-file retrieval creates no environment and does not install or run the source.

Hub preparation adapter: false. Follow the upstream setup and invocation contract.

    "Complete compatible Klampt Python package with compiled robotsim bindings and sibling modules"
  ],
  "hardware": [],
  "system": [
    "Caller-provided robot models and configured IK objectives"
  ],
  "notes": "This module has relative imports and no standalone main entrypoint. Solving and random-start sampling can modify the supplied robot model configuration, including unsuccessful solves. Feasibility callbacks default to true; these wrappers do not independently establish collision clearance. Generalized object/link IK is documented as unimplemented, and nearby solving restricts to one robot. Tuple annotations are used without an explicit typing.Tuple import in this file; whether wildcard imports provide that symbol was not investigated. Native imports, transitive effects, model assets and solver correctness remain untested. The pinned README declares pip install klampt, but no exact Python/native-package or robot-model combination was resolved or tested."

Invocation

{
  "entrypoint": "Library API: klampt.model.ik.objective / solver / solve / solve_global / solve_nearby",
  "notes": "Use within a separately configured Klampt application with caller-provided models and objectives. Do not run this relative-import file as a standalone script or treat a fetched copy as a runnable task. The Hub supplies inert source metadata and no preparation/execution adapter. No upstream module was imported or executed, and no successful IK, collision clearance or physical-controller compatibility is claimed."

Explicit compatibility

Missing environment fields remain unknown. Discovery labels do not establish robot compatibility.

Evidence

Level: source_reviewed; runtime verification: not_run.

Complete module read as inert text and Python AST parsed without importing or executing it. Source, applicable license and setup README SHA-256, byte sizes and Git blob IDs matched the immutable nontruncated tree. This establishes a library source reference, not runtime, asset clearance or robot compatibility.

Source review and contributor reports do not establish task completion. Preserve upstream attribution and licenses.
