OpenPI random-observation policy client
Send synthetic ALOHA, ALOHA_SIM, DROID or LIBERO observation-shaped data to an OpenPI WebSocket policy server and report inference timing. This client generates random inputs; it does not read robot cameras, run a robot controller or move physical hardware.

Requirements

"notes": "Source inspection only. Random RGB-shaped arrays and synthetic numeric state are sent to the configured server; the returned data is used for timing statistics. The upstream full workspace documents Ubuntu 22.04 and Python >=3.11. Client-only platform portability, installation, policy inference and robot execution were not tested. The server and model/checkpoint setup are separate.",

Invocation
{
"entrypoint": "uv run examples/simple_client/main.py --env ALOHA_SIM --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8000 --num-steps 20",
"notes": "Run from the pinned checkout only after configuring the upstream environment and a compatible policy server. Supported --env values in the source are ALOHA, ALOHA_SIM, DROID and LIBERO. Optional timing-file output writes a Parquet file. Credentials, if required by the chosen server, must be configured locally. This documented command has not been executed."
